Introduction Lecture

Herbert Gintis will give an introductory lecture on signaling theory on Sunday, 3pm-6pm. Please indicate in the registration form / comment field if you intend to participate (number of participants is limited).

Model Building, Applications, and Empirical Corroborations 

October 14th - 19th, 2012, The congress centre of ETH Zurich "Centro Stefano Franscini" situated at Monte Verità

The conference will discuss the state of art of signaling theory, new developments and applications of the theory. The conference program will include formal game theoretical models of signaling as well as applications of the theoretical models in biology, economics, sociology, anthropology, political science, and psychology.

Conference Fee

The conference fee covers all costs (five nights accommodation on the venue, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and coffee breaks)

  • Early bird registration (Until January 31, 2012): 700 €
  • Standard registration (Until June 30, 2012): 900 €


Scholars from Eastern European countries may be supported by a conference grant by the Swiss National Science Foundation. Please contact the conference office.
